Volunteer with Venice Family Clinic (VFC) and use your expertise as a Yoga Instructor to improve the health of individuals and families in your community!
VFC is in need a Certified Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team of Health Educators! This is a great opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day work in a community clinic as well as support the health and well-being of Venice Family Clinic patients.
General duties include:
- Host weekly yoga classes (Thursdays from 5pm-6pm)
- Inspire community members to engage in an active and healthy lifestyle
Program Requirements:
- Yoga Instructor Certification
- Previous experience hosting yoga classes
- Spanish Bilingual preferred, not required
- Commitment to a regular weekly shift for at least 6 months - more preferred

Description
Over the past 50 years, Venice Family Clinic’s mission of providing quality primary health care to people in need hasn’t changed, but its scope has broadened dramatically. Today, the Clinic has about 400 staff members and more than 1,300 volunteers who serve 28,000 patients, without regard for their ability to pay or immigration status. Its programs have expanded beyond primary medical care to include dental, vision, behavioral health, exercise classes, health education, early childhood development - and street medicine for people experiencing homelessness, to ensure even the most vulnerable of its neighbors get the medical care they deserve.
Our Volunteer Services Department strives to recruit and connect the best volunteers possible with almost every department within the clinic. We work to provide support to the volunteers as well as the clinic teams whom they help. Every year, we work with over 1400 volunteers, including approximately 500 provider volunteers. Our department helps with recruiting, training, scheduling, and general upkeep of all volunteers.
