Are you looking to make a real and lasting difference in someone’s life? Would you like to get teaching experience working with adults? Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts (LVM) trains volunteers to provide free, confidential and individualized tutoring to adults in basic literacy and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). LVM tutors are dedicated, patient, flexible and encouraging volunteers who create a positive learning environment where adults can thrive and learn without embarrassment.
With improved literacy skills and the confidence that comes with them, adults are able to pursue a better life and a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend a volunteer information session. Join us March 6 from 6-8pm, for our first information session of 2018. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, RSVP for one of the information sessions by using the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/QrM74XYwCtZIVD7T2. If you have any questions, please email Josh Dees at firstname.lastname@example.org OR call him at 617-367-1313.
If you cannot make the March 6 session you can RSVP for our February 27 session instead!
Once you have attended one of these two information sessions you can attend one of our two types of trainings. Each training is 18 hours spread out over the course of 6 evenings. The dates for the trainings are as follows:
