The SoulDeevas are a new, mobile, performing arts dance company that aspires to open programs in New York and New Jersey and provide more opportunities for competition for young people throughout the Northeast! You can learn more about them at www.souldeevas.com.
The SoulDeevas works in partnership with another new organization called 1City Academy (www.facebook.com/1CityAcademy) and Nu Sigma Theta and seeks to provide more competitive opportunities for young people with a goal to expand nationally.
We are just starting and need to develop a marketing program so that we can reach more young people, so we entered a business competition and to our surprise and delight, we made the semi-finals and are a featured profile on Small Business Owners Idea Cafe!
We are in the heat of battle right now and are soliciting people who are willing to vote for us so that we can win the competition. The catch is that you'll have to provide an email address in order to vote and Idea Cafe will send you emails periodically. But the upside is that if you are an aspiring business/nonprofit owner, they have VERY valuable information and resources on the site.

The mission of MJHS is to aid in the provision of quality education and sound character building programs for young people.
Description
Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
