Our mission is to provide strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter for families that need it in our local community.
This project is a rehabilitation of a home right near our Fredericksburg office. Once completed, the home will be purchased by one of our partner families and they will pay an affordable, low interest mortgage.
Volunteer activities may include (but are not limited to!) demolition, framing walls, installing insulation, painting, laying tile, installing flooring, installing cabinetry and landscaping.
Build days are scheduled on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays from 8:50 AM to 3:30 PM. No prior experience is necessary, just a willing heart! We will provide all necessary tools and protective gear.
In order to volunteer for this opportunity, individuals mustregister on VolunteerUp and attend a New Volunteer Orientation which are held Fridays and Saturdays. We have volunteer opportunities available both at our build sites and at our ReStore!
