About

Make an impact on your community using your business analytical skills! Your experience in data analysis and visual design will help us develop a dashboard to more effectively communicate the impact of our services.

We’re leading our community to ensure that anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one.

We are looking for an experienced analyst or a dashboard expert to help us. The volunteer will work closely with the Director of Food Sourcing & Inventory and her staff to develop a dashboard based on the existing reports.

Responsibilities:

Using the existing food sourcing and inventory reports, the Volunteer will create a dashboard that can be used for management presentations and communication. We want to incorporate graphs to show month-to-month and year-to-year variances and trends. The Volunteer will also be asked to document the monthly update procedures.

We’d love to see the Volunteer work with us after the initial dashboard release to help us prepare and refine our monthly reporting package.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience creating a business dashboard
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, or similar software. Experience with JetReport preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, communicating well with staff
  • Relevant experience in financial reporting and analysis, and management presentations
  • Promote the mission and activities of SHFB with enthusiasm.

We’d like the dashboard to be completed by June 2018.

Hours are flexible but must be agreed with the work supervisor. The volunteer may work remotely with periodic on-site meetings with staff at a mutual agreeable time.

This is a unique chance to use the skills and expertise you developed over your career to create a lasting impact for your community.
