About

Corporate Volunteer Week

Welcome! Each September, the Contra Costa Crisis Center, with presenting sponsor Chevron, offers Corporate Volunteer Week, the largest business volunteer program in the Bay Area. This week-long event brings thousands of employees from local companies together to volunteer at East Bay nonprofits. Corporate Volunteer Week provides an easy and unique way for businesses to strengthen their community involvement and increase employee engagement, while helping nonprofits in their community.
How does it work?

Nonprofits in Alameda and Contra Costa counties have projects for business volunteer teams!

The majority of projects are ½ day in length, and many projects are offered on multiple days. Your team of 6-50 (or more) employees can review the projects, and then sign up for the project via our portal. Project descriptions will provide location, times, parking, tasks, and details needed to select a suitable project for your team. Select one or pick multiple projects for your team throughout the week. Registration begins in July, and Corporate Volunteer Week is September 9 - 16, 2018.

Some examples of projects from past years:
· Preschool art day help
· Park/open space cleanup
· Animal shelter event prep
· Prepare/serve shelter meals
· Thrift store merchandising
· Assemble tech learning kits
· Paint classrooms
· Recess play at elementary school
· Mock interviews
· BTS backpack distribution
· Reorganize/inventory storage space
· Sort & pack food at food bank
· many more!

Ready to give back? Teams interested in participating in 2018 are requested to pre-register for updates and receive first look registration link via email when the portal opens in July. Questions? Email us at CorporateVolunteerWeek@crisis-center.org or call 925-472-5768.

PLEASE NOTE - this program is specifically for volunteer teams from businesses. We cannot accommodate service clubs, student groups, or other groups without business affiliation. Thanks!
