Volunteer at the Detroit Zoo!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to volunteer at the zoo? Join the Detroit Zoological Society for our first volunteer recruitment event. Learn about the various volunteer opportunities and positions at the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Center. Take a short tour of the Zoo and experience our award-winning habitats such as the Polk Penguin Conservation Center and Australian Outback Adventure, where you'll meet other volunteers and take a peek at daily activities. Interested in becoming a volunteer for the wildest place in town?

You must RSVP by Friday February 23 at 5 p.m.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

The mission of the Detroit Zoological Society's Volunteer Services department is to provide a dedicated, trained volunteer corps of people who bring unique skills, love of nature and concern for the environment. Through meaningful educational activities, dialog and special events, the volunteers help advocate the Zoological Society's mission: "Celebrating and Saving Wildlife."

Description

The Detroit Zoological Society is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that operates the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Zoo. Situated on 125 acres of naturalistic exhibits, the Detroit Zoo is located at the intersection of 10 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue, just off I-696, in Royal Oak, Michigan.
