Loving Hands Hospice is looking for committed and caring members of our community who want the chance to be involved in the lives of our patients and families. The love, respect and care our hospice volunteers provide enhances the quality of life for not only our patients but families as well.
The Loving Hands Hospice Volunteer Program has opportunities available for two types of volunteers:
Patient Care Volunteers: play an important role on our hospice team by providing comfort and emotional support to patients and their families. Whether it's providing companionship in the final months and weeks of life or offering support to family members and caregivers, you will gain great personal satisfaction from knowing you have made an impact in another person's life.
Some of the task may include:
- Staying with patients while family members get much needed rest or run errands
- Reading or providing comforting touch
- Providing a friendly visit to lift a patient's spirits
- Playing or singing soothing music
- Light household chores
- Pet or music therapy
- Playing cards or board games with patient
Administrative Volunteers: provide a variety of office based services which support direct patient care activities. Some of the tasks may include:
- Data Entry
- Mailings
- Photocopying
- Filing Documents
- Putting together packets
- Putting supplies away
When you become a volunteer, we will provide you with a detailed orientation to the Loving Hands Hospice Program so you will understand our caring philosophy and goals.

Description
Loving Hands Hospice is located in Warrenton, Mo and provides service in Warren, Lincoln, Montgomery, St. Charles, Franklin and Gasconade Counties. We are looking for both patient and office volunteers to assist in serving our patients and families.
