By giving just a few hours of your time, you can make a big difference to our annual Earth Day Festival. We need volunteers for the annual Earth Fay Festival. The yearly festivities allow Durham residents and visitors to celebrate the earth while learning about numerous ways to Live Green! Planet vs. Plastics Plastic pollution is one of the most important environmental problems that we face today. It impacts the environment and our health and wellbeing. Celebrate environmental awareness and sustainability with Durham Parks and Recreation. Enjoy a day filled with earth-friendly activities, educational resources, a host of vendors, good music, and even better food! Please remember that this event will take place rain or shine when registering to volunteer.
