People's Center Clinics & Services is looking for volunteer nurses and/or nursing students to volunteer in our brand new Wellness Hub! The Wellness Hub is a first-of-its-kind wellness center designed to promote active living, healthy eating and integrative health practices in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood. This facility is donation-based and no one is turned away for inability to pay.

We are seeking dedicated individuals passionate about health equity and reducing health disparities. The ideal candidate will be a professional nurse or nursing student looking to use their skills to help achieve People's Center's mission of delivering affordable health care, inspiring hope and promoting community wellness.

Volunteer Tasks

• Perform blood pressure and BMI screenings for patients
• Help patients understand the results
• Provide culturally competent education to patients on improving their health
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Volunteers will need to be available every Friday from 12 to 4:30pm. We require volunteers to make a minimum commitment of three months. Orientation and training will be provided.
