Walk MS: Wichita benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Mid America Chapter and has many Volunteer Opportunities available, such as Setup Teams. We are a 501(C)3 non-profit entity.
Setup for the event will be on Friday, April 13, 2018 from approximately 3pm until approximately 6pm. Bright and early on Saturday, April 14, 2018, the setup will begin again at 6am and conclude by 10am, when the Walk begins.
Individuals and Teams are encouraged to join us as our Setup Team.
On Friday, April 13, 2018, the Setup Team will work outside to help to unload the various boxes of supplies from the delivery van or truck, help hang banners, help prepare signs for event day, fold t-shirts, and any other setup tasks which need to be accomplished.
The day of the event, Saturday, April 14, 2018, will begin early at 6am, with the setting up of tables and chairs outside, along with putting out signs along the route, and any other setup tasks which need to be accomplished. Setup should be completed by 10am.
Lifting, carrying, and walking are required for the Setup Team, along with a smile, happy attitude, and willingness to ensure the safety of everyone helping.
Volunteer Teams are encouraged to wear their event-appropriate business/organization themed attire during Setup, if it does not hinder their ability to move, lift, carry, and walk.
Please join us as we celebrate our fundraising efforts to fund research to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and provide assistance for those affected by MS. We need you!!
