Lola's Closet

Our initial tasks are to help repair, clean and organize our facility. It has dust and grime accumulated over the years. We will need people with carpentry skills, painting skills and all-around handyman capabilities.

We also need to catalog and inventory the items that will be sold in the building consisting of items that were left behind and donated by the previous owners of the business (former furniture repair facility).

We will need assistance in moving furniture to facilitate painting and setting up shelves, clothes racks, etc. as we acquire them.

Ongoing we will need volunteers to work 4 hour shifts to assist in managing the store, cashiering, accepting donations, organizing the donated items and be our eyes and ears in the selling areas. W

We hope to open in late March or early April 2018 as our resources permit. Between now and then we are just preparing the facility and selling to the public online to start generating revenue.

Mission Statement

We are a non-profit organization formed to take donated items such as clothes, household goods, furniture, etc. and resell them to the public at thrift shop prices. We will also hold classes on recycling and up-cycling to create awareness and to make and sell one-of-a-kind items to the public. We will sell handmade items in our retail shop as well as online. Our goal is to give our earnings to other selected non-profit causes that provide direct support. We aim to be an all-volunteer organization and plan to align ourselves with local area churches and other civic groups to attract volunteers and donations and help us better understand, learn and recognize the many needs of our community all for the purpose of helping address those needs.

We have a small board consisting of President - Marduqueo Hernandez, Vice-President - Terri L. Hernandez, Secretary - Deborah A. Harkins

We are all volunteers, as well as all our future associates.
