Join the Friends of Tierrasanta Canyons for a special day of learning and volunteering just for kids and their families! Participants will join a local nature expert for a nature walk and then help to plant native oak trees. This hands-on opportunity will include chances to explore a local ecosystem, dig, plant, water, and mulch. By replanting one of our local urban canyons, you can help to beautify an outdoor recreation area, restore habit for wildlife, reduce the risk of erosion, and enhance filtration for run-off water before it reaches the San Diego River.

This event is part of River Kids Discovery Days, a free two day celebration of nature, learning and volunteerism. For a full event list, please visit: www.riverdiscoverydays.org
