Help a middle school student make their own short film and teach them the power of their voice.
Young Storytellers' middle school program, Movie Makers, is a two semester program where students write, film, and edit their very own short films. Students also pitch their projects to industry professionals and have a final screening at a nearby studio.
Guided by a Head Mentor, Movie Makers mentors meet with their students Tuesdays after school, play educational games, learn the elements of film, and then get down to business writing, filming, or editing. Through one-on-one mentorship, students learn that their stories matter.
