Do you think you have what it takes to survive a month in poverty? Come challenge yourself with Pikes Peak United Way this March 7th at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS)!
We are looking for 30-35 people to play the role of agencies during the simulation. "Families" will be made up of students learning about living in poverty and the difficulties that come with accessing agencies and resources.
As an agency role player, you will be assigned to "work" at an agency/organization like the bank, childcare center, community action agency, and more, interacting with families who need your resources.
This is an eye-opening and thrilling experience that is great for anyone who works with those in poverty, wishes to learn more about societal challenges for people facing poverty, or is looking for an exciting volunteer activity.
