Great Strides is the CF Foundation's largest fundraising event! Walk day is an upbeat celebration that includes various festivities at McFerson Commons Park where the walk start and finish is located and participants look forward to it year after year.

This year is the 30th Anniversary of Great Strides so we are hoping to make it the best year yet!

The volunteer opportunities for Great Strides are plentiful! We need people to help with registration, people to help serve amazing food we get donated from delicious local restaurants (Those restaurants include Piada and Jeni's Ice Cream just to name a few). We also need people to work our mission tent which consists of handing out colorful and fun beads to the participants (each color has a different meaning so each person will get specific colors), we'll have a t-shirt tent that will need volunteers to manage, and many other fun and laid back tasks. We also need help in the morning laying down the groundwork for the magic to happen aka setting up our 10x10 tents, tables and chairs before the event starts. The more people we have for this, the faster it gets done!

Great Strides is always a fun environment to be a part of. It's the only event where everyone with cystic fibrosis and their family and friends can be in the same place so the energy is very positive and uplifting. You'll most likely leave the event feeling hyped up and refreshed at the same time!

There's music, food, a bubble machine, possibly stilt walkers (we're working on that), an ice cream truck, unique sponsorship tents, a young professionals tent, and so much more!
