The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources takes in donations of reusable building materials and makes them available at affordable prices so lower-income homeowners can keep their homes in good repair. This also helps the environment by keeping reusable materials out of the landfill.
We are seeking volunteers to help receive and process donated materials. This includes unloading and loading, moving materials onto our sales floor, arranging materials to create displays, cleaning, assembly/disassembly (such as assembling light fixtures or removing doorknobs from doors), measuring, and online research into the value of the materials. You may use tools such as an electric drill.

About Boston Building Resources
Location:
100 TERRACE ST, ROXBURY, MA 02120, US
Mission Statement
To be the place for homeowners and renovators to make a positive impact on their communities and the environment as they care for and improve their homes.
Description
The Reuse Center accepts donations of good-quality used and surplus building materials and sells them at low prices, with extra discounts for low- and moderate-income customers and nonprofit organizations. Because materials are priced low to remain affordable, income from sales does not cover all our operating costs.
Having access to affordable materials from the Reuse Center at BBR makes it possible for low- and moderate-income homeowners to repair and care for their homes on limited budgets, and, as a result, to improve their lives and neighborhoods. By diverting perfectly good materials from landfills and delivering them into the hands of homeowners and nonprofits, we reduce the construction industry’s burden on the solid waste stream and benefit the environment.
The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources is a project of the Boston Building Materials Co-op Charitable & Educational Fund.
