The Elementary Division of SASF will be hosting our 3rd Annual Spelling Bee on February 22nd 2018. It is our goal that we foster the love of reading and spelling in all of our students lives. Creating an impact where our participants not only love reading but can articulate themselves in meaningful ways. There will be approximately 24 elementary schools bringing 500 students and 150 parents to the event. In addition to the competition, we will also have other activities such as a literacy workshop, art workshop, The Shadow Box Theater and Holly Rock Entertainment. We need volunteers to help with set up, registration, food and snack distribution, hall monitor, bathroom monitor, ushers to assist with transitions, raffle prize distribution, and clean up.

Description
Operating between three and five days each week for 36 weeks during the school year in most programs, we offer combined academic enrichment curricula including: literacy, STEM, leadership, High School Today College Tomorrow (HSTCT) and Middle School Today High School Tomorrow (MSTHST) with sports and wellness, music, visual and performing arts opportunities and trips to educational and cultural institutions.
