Euro Challenge

The Euro Challenge, a program of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, provides a unique opportunity for 9 th and 10 th grade students across the United States to learn about the Euro Area and the countries that use its single currency, the euro.

Organized as a competition, the program invites students to step into the shoes of diplomats and economic policymakers by examining real-world economic challenges facing countries in the Euro Area. Working in teams of 3-5, students make presentations to a panel of judges about the current state of the Euro Area economy. They also select a Euro Area country, examine an economic challenge facing that country, and recommend policy prescriptions.
