Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for giving support to the Environmental Education Program Coordinator by performing a wide range of administrative duties.
Areas of Responsibility:Education: Educational Programs
- Prepare and send confirmation materials to teachers
- Confirm programs via telephone one week prior to program
- Prepare summer camp materials (nametags, check-in lists, etc.)
- Create packets and materials for special events.
Education: Other Administrative Tasks
- Basic clerical work.
- Data entry into Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Updating of contact information for like organizations.
- Print and prepare brochure mailings, stock brochures in Exhibit Hall.
Computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Knowledge of office procedures including filing, computer database, spreadsheets and record systems preferred. Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
Hours:- 10-12 Hours per week
- Monday through Friday Schedule
- Position working available hours are between 9am and 5pm
- Print and prepare brochure mailings, stock brochures in Exhibit Hall.

Description
Irvine Nature Center is a private, non-profit nature center located in Owings Mills, Maryland. We have 211 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and meadows that support a diverse population of wildlife. We provide more than 800 environmental education programs annually to roughly 95,000 individuals of all ages. Our goal is to expose people to the importance of environmental literacy and show those visiting our property the importance of environmental stewardship. We aim to teach a concern for the planet that translates into actions that help preserve our ecosystem and create a healthier planet!
