About

Talented Girls in Action is a non-profit in Charlotte NC. We work with girls between the ages of 12 to 15 that come from disadvantage backgrounds. TGIA provides the following services, tutoring, mentor-ships, a character development curriculum as well as enrichment activities. Our mission is to advance he next generation of young girls to operate at a standard of excellence, by helping them unlock their unique potential as well as form a life long passion for education.

In order to fulfill our mission we need volunteers like you to help us market our program appropriately and further our reach in the community. We need individuals who have experience in the following areas:

Branding Specialist

  • The volunteer will work closely with marketing, execution, and events to help execute a brand strategy that drives TGIA’s brand awareness, engagement and conversion at our fundraising events. Assist to develop a coherent brand message through events and promotions.
  • Utilize and spearhead usage of donor materials
  • Recruit and train other volunteers for new branding and event programs
  • Assist with planning events with Event team according to branding vision
  • Number of hours per week - 2
Creative Content Writing Specialist
  • The volunteer will develop annual strategic plan/goals for writing, marketing and creation of marketing materials that align to the TGIA messaging for our donors and fundraising. This includes newsletters support and generic emails, social media, direct mail creatives,and marketing materials.
  • Work closely with Branding Specialist to build brand voice
  • Align strategic insights with messaging to create copy that is effective and engaging
  • Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
  • Number of hours per week - 3

Marketing Project Coordinator
  • The volunteer will coordinate with all groups in marketing and event planning in order to organize and communicate all marketing and event projects according to the master annual marketing plan
  • Responsible for gathering information and handoff tasks to the appropriate parties within the organization
  • Assist head of marketing strategy on any meetings and project changes and updates
  • Number of hours per week - 2

Email Coordinator - Newsletters
  • The volunteer will develop and create monthly newsletter emails. The volunteer will collaborate with other volunteers on a monthly basis in order to come up with the full content of the newsletter, build the email, and deploy via the email platform
  • Responsible for newsletter response reporting and long term tracking and KPIs
  • Number of hours per week - 3

Email Coordinator - Events
  • The volunteer will develop and create event planning and marketing emails. The volunteer will collaborate with other volunteers on a monthly basis in order to come up with the full content of the stream of event marketing emails, build the emails, and deploy via the email platform
  • Responsible for email response reporting, long term tracking and KPIs
  • Number of hours per week - 2

Email Coordinator - Other/Generic
  • The volunteer will develop and create informational marketing emails. The volunteer will collaborate with other volunteers on a monthly basis in order to come up with the of the stream of marketing emails, build the emails, and deploy via the email platform.
  • Responsible for email response reporting, long term tracking and KPIs
  • Number of hours per week - 2
