ROLE TITLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The National Director of Social Media Volunteer role creates content weekly with a group of peers for Women In Comedy’s media outlet. All posts must be in alignment with our mission statement. Curated content is created for sharing on social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and time spent curating and attracting more followers and engagement. This role strategizes and creates written content in alignment with the brand and voice of Women In Comedy.

GENERAL OVERVIEW
- Responsible for sourcing, managing, and tracking social media posts that engage women in comedy members and followers, as well as attract more followers and readership.
- Create share-worthy posts that are engaging and exciting for our target audience.
TIME COMMITMENTS & SCHEDULE
This volunteer role consistently contributes 5-10 hrs per week of volunteer time. This number of hours may fluctuate and be higher the week prior to the live event.
- 1 hrs per week "in person" weekly meetings with crew of writers
- 2-8 hrs per week independently writing, creating graphics, and strategizing within required deadlines

Women In Comedy is a nonprofit 501(c)3 headquartered in the comedy mecca of the United States - Chicago, IL. Our organization runs solely on volunteer efforts and donations. We are an inclusive organization providing free and low-cost resources to womxn across the country. Our motto is "Connect, Empower, Advocate."
