The 9th Annual Harvey Milk Festival (HMF) will take place May 12, 2018, culminating in a 11-band concert at JD Hamel Park in on historic downtown Sarasota's Downtown Bayfront, Florida. This event is part of a three-day festival. The mission of HMF is to honor and celebrate the life of Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay Americans elected to public office, by fostering emerging talent in musicians and artists who support diversity and reject discrimination.

The Harvey Milk Festival features a variety of attractions including live music, film, performing
and visual artists, speakers, and vendors designed to engage a large and diverse audience. In addition to event programming, Harvey Milk Festival is expanding to include more education and outreach initiatives to better engage local and regional communities.
Harvey Milk Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization and contributions are tax deductible.
