Support our clients by becoming a Volunteer Driver with Ayuda's Virginia Social Services team!
Many of our clients lack reliable transportation and need support getting to and from the Ayuda Virginia office for their meetings with their case manager, therapist, or attorney; or to get to doctor's and dentist's appointments. Our Social Services team takes on the responsibility of transporting their clients on top of being overloaded with case work, and we'd like to lift this burden off of them by hiring Volunteer Drivers!
By offering a ride to a client as a volunteer, you are helping them on their path to a better life in the United States free from violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trauma as well as supporting Ayuda's mission. Ayuda envisions our country as one where immigrants can succeed and thrive, and Ayuda's Social Services department is especially dedicated to helping immigrant victims access the services they need. We currently assist our clients to arrive at important meetings and appointments from/in areas like Herndon, Reston, Sterling, Manassas, Ashburn, and even Winchester.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, provide their own reliable vehicle, have a valid driver’s license, and be willing to report the number of hours worked to Ayuda (Time commitment: 2 hours weekly, time variable but between normal business hours).
