Details
This role requires no previous experience--just a positive attitude, a friendly spirit, and willingness to answer questions from shoppers and donors. The volunteer can read a book or do another hobby in between calls, or help organize merchandise. Volunteers needed anytime Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm or Saturday 9am-4pm. Any number of service hours is appreciated. No advance scheduling necessary after a one-time, one-hour orientation.
How This Helps Our CommunityBecause of our small staff, many phone calls go unanswered, so we lose out on potential shoppers and donors. Proceeds from all our sales directly benefit Habitat for Humanity of McLean County. Donated items find a new home instead of being sent to the landfill and more money is made available to build more homes alongside deserving families and faithful volunteers in McLean County.
