Finger Lakes Living Healthy AmeriCorps matches motivated volunteer 'members' with Host Sites throughout Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, Yates and Cayuga counties.

Members enroll to complete a 900 hour commitment ending on December 6, 2018.

All Members will be trained to become Peer Leaders in the empowering Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. CDSMP teaches participants healthy and effective ways to manage symptoms associated with chronic illness. These workshops will be delivered at their Host Site, to benefit customers of the Host Site.

Members will also have other varied opportunities to learn and grow new skills during their 900 hour term.

While serving Members receive a modest Living Allowance, and upon conclusion will receive an Education Award of $2907.

Wayne County Action Program, Inc. is a community action agency established in 1966. We offer a variety of services for individuals and families.

We also provide volunteer opportunities and servcies through the Corporation for National and Community Service, including the Senior Corps 'Foster Grandparent Program' and 'Retired/Senior Volunteer Program'. We also administer the Finger Lakes Living Healthy AmeriCorps program.
