The Children's Museum of Richmond, a not-for-profit organization, exists to create innovative learning experiences for all children and those who support them that inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers. The Children's Museum of Richmond will foster a community that recognizes and appreciates that children grow and learn through play.
An Exhibit Buddy at the Children's Museum of Richmond is responsible for facilitating the role-playing experience for children 0-8 years of age and will be assigned to volunteer in the exhibit space. Exhibit Volunteers will also help reset the exhibit spaces, interface with the children, staff and fellow volunteers to provide a fun and creative environment for all guests. We ask all volunteers to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts a month for at least 6 months. Typically, each volunteer shift is 2 hours long. All volunteers must complete an orientation, offered once a month, before beginning service. The Children's Museum of Richmond has locations located near the Fan, Chesterfield, and Short Pump.
*The Children's Museum of Richmond does not currently accept volunteers who need court-ordered community service hours.
