Get involved in one of the most active museum networks as US Crowd Funding Manager

Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) was founded on the principle of building bridges through knowledge and understanding. In cooperation with our Partner museums, we create virtual museums and exhibitions that provide access to art and cultural heritage from around the world.

So far, our Partners in the US are Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Shangri La Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art, The Metropolitan Museum and the George Washington University Museum.

We have been encouraged to further expand the MWNF Network in the US and to consider setting up a US-based "The Friends of MWNF" association. It would be a great opportunity to work at this project but this would require that I travel to the US to visit the museums hosting Islamic art collections (we are already in touch with most of them) and meet people who could get involved in the Friends project. The problem is that MWNF doesn't dispose of the needed funds to finance my travel and we were suggested to launch a crowd funding campaign. Since the target audience should be people in the US, we are searching for a person who is ready to help and to manage the campaign for us. We calculate a one month trip and costs of about (max) $ 8,000 to cover flight, local transfers, accommodation and food. Our sponsors would receive complementary copies of our thematic guides "Islamic art in the Mediterranean", available also on most online bookshops and then obviously a report of the trip.

Timing is flexible and we could adapt to your possibilities. Ideally, the trip should take place in October 2018 or spring 2019.
