Scouts Canada's Volunteer Marketing and Communications Team is expanding and we’re looking for enthusiastic, experienced marketers to join our Local Marketing team!

Positions available

Local Marketing Advisor

  • 1 each - Western Canada (BC, Yukon, Alberta), Central Canada (Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories), Eastern Canada (Quebec, PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Newfoundland).

Duties and Responsibilities

Want to use your skills to benefit local a non-profit helping youth in your area, by encouraging more kids to have great Scouting adventures and experiences? Supported by the National Team Lead - Local Marketing, you’ll act as a marketing resource for local Scouting members. You will respond to requests and identify opportunities to contribute marketing knowledge and activities to benefit local Groups, Areas, Councils and Scouts-run facilities. One day you could be carrying out a marketing analysis for a Scout camp, the next advising how to plan and promote a local recruitment drive or perhaps overseeing the creation of local marketing materials for specific Scouting events.

Qualifications

Enthusiasm and a desire to use your skills to help volunteer Scouters market their Groups and activities.

Willingness to become an adult member of Scouts Canada

A well-rounded background; ideally a combination of experience and education

A self-starter, able to work independently and achieve results. You make things happen!

Able to work collaboratively with a remote team

Working Conditions

Primarily a member of a virtual team with regular team meetings by phone/video call. Approx 10 hours/month but may vary according to initiatives underway.
