Office Help

North Oakland Village is looking for volunteers to work at the office and perform basic office functions. Ideally we would like volunteers who have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, able to file and organize documents, and ability to conduct correspondence with volunteers, answer phones, assist with mailings, etc. Schedule and tasks for office volunteers are extremely flexible and will vary based upon availability and skill-set of volunteers.

Development and Fundraising

North Oakland Village is looking for people with experience in grant-writing and fundraising to help us meet our program needs and reach our sustainability goals. The volunteer will be responsible for development of small-scale proposals with the prospect of ongoing funding upon re-application. Also, this position will be responsible for researching potential funding sources through the web, Foundation Directory, government agencies, and private sector donors. Any knowledge of or experience with finding relevant foundations that are involved with the Senior Community would be extremely desirable. This is a part-time volunteer position with flexible hours and work can be done remotely.

North Oakland Village is part of the national Village-to-Village movement a nonprofit that creates community, engagement and support for seniors aging in place. We are looking for a volunteers to help us during our continued growth. We strive to impact positive change on the local level in the City of Oakland and to help develop an Aging Friendly City.
