HI Harper's Ferry is looking for volunteers to help with one-time projects at the hostel, such as maintenance or make-over projects, as well as ongoing volunteers to assist with events for hostel guests. These events help enhance the travelers experience and allow them to interact with one another. Events include community meals, game nights, welcome parties, etc.
We can work with your schedule in planning events.
HI USA is a non profit that operates hostels throughout the US. Our mission is: "to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling."

Description
On our property we have a hostel and a campground. People come here when they are hiking on the Appalachian Trail, biking on the C&O Canal Towpath, and to go river rafting, kayaking, tubing, and swimming in the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers.
A lot of groups and individuals come here for the activities and to explore the Civil War battlefields of Antietam and Gettysburg. We are also located close to the town of Historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia in Historic Harpers Ferry National Park.
We are about an hour and fifteen minute train ride from Washington, DC. and we have many people travel from DC to get away from the city for the weekend. It's also a good place to stay when individuals and groups would like to go to DC to explore the sights.
For activities we have s'mores by the campfire, movie night indoors or outdoors, board games, and a scavenger hunt in Harpers Ferry. We also have a volley ball court, horse shoe toss, Bocce Ball, Frisbee Toss game, Croquet, and Badminton on the campground.
