Mission Statement

Lee Hall Mansion interprets the agrarian antebellum Southern society and the events leading up to and during the 1862 Peninsula Campaign. Reconstruction, the development and industrialization of the northern end of Newport News, evolving women’s roles as well technological innovations throughout the first half of the twentieth century are also interpreted through guided tours, wayside panels located on the grounds, exhibitions and educational programs.

Description

Lee Hall Mansion is an historic house museum located in the northern end of Newport News (15 minutes from Williamsburg). Lee Hall offers guided tours of its 1859 house as well as other programs throughout the year including an annual wine festival and holiday programs.
