We are seeking positive, energetic, stylish women to help our ladies look and feel fabulous! Personal Shoppers assist ladies in choosing their professional attire and wardrobe. Personal Shoppers provide support and encouragement and focus the appointment on her interview/job search/professional look.
Personal Shopping takes place Tuesday - Thursday, 11am - 3pm. Extra times for PS are added on an as needed basis.
All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application as well as attend an orientation.
Volunteer orientations are held the first Wednesday of the month from 5pm - 6pm at our dowtown boutique. RSVP is required.

The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success Worldwide has assisted over 1,000,000 women since 1997. Dress for Success San Francisco provides a four part program at no cost to the client including the Suiting Program, Going Places Network job search program, Career Center, and the Professional Women's Group, an employment retention program.
Description
Dress for Success San Francisco (DFS SF) is a nonprofit organization in the Bay Area and a new affiliate to Dress for Success Worldwide, the only international organization that addresses and fulfills the needs of low-income women who have left welfare and are interfacing with the challenges of the workforce.
As a five part program at no cost to our clients, Dress for Success San Francisco consists of a Suiting Program and an employment retention program, known as the Professional Women's Group, in order to help women gain self-sufficiency. We also provide job search skill building through our Going Places Network and Career Center. Dress for Success San Francisco responds to the needs of our communities by providing programs that help economically disadvantaged women acquire jobs, retain their new positions and succeed in the mainstream workplace.
Dress for Success San Francisco serves clients by referral only through our partner program network. In order to receive services from Dress for Success San Francisco, a referral from our established partner programs is needed.
