1. Assignment Title: Recreation Therapist Volunteer (RTV)

2. Purpose of Assignment: To Be Determined

3. Tasks: Assist therapist with at least one or more activities:

* Day-time Bingo Caller-2G, Community Living Center (CLC)
* Thursday Evening Bingo Caller
* Movie Host 2G, CLC
* Escort Veterans to observe Musical Bridges and the Art Reach Program
* Escort Veterans to the Library, Canteen
* Assist with CLC Cookie Social
* Be a Buddy to a CLC Veteran

Volunteer may select activities that are most appealing

4. Time Commitment: Negotiable


5. Requirements
* Pass a background check
* Complete Volunteer Orientation
* Complete levels 3&4 of Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behaviors (PMDB) course for some activates

6. Training and Skill Development
* Initial and annual volunteer training.
* Assignment specific training
* Ability to: Carry supplies/push patients in wheelchairs/walk with patients/understanding of patients suffering with physical, mental limitations/ work independently/enjoy elder population/ proper PPE and hand washing techniques/patient dieting restrictions

10.Working Conditions
Where/what’s provided:
* Work Areas Include: Recreation Services, CLC, Domiciliary, Psychiatric Units
* Appropriate materials will be provided to complete tasks
* Education of patient population will be provided

* Lunch provided for volunteers working a 4 or more hour shift.
