Job Description:Support the community outreach and advocacy work of Planned Parenthood by spreading awareness and fostering grassroots activism in the community, in health centers, and on campuses. Assist with building and supporting relationships and networks to increase the number of PPMM supporters, activists, and volunteers. Activists will voice support and advocate for reproductive health and rights.
Time Commitment: On-call and as needed. Opportunities are available year round.
Location: Reno

Description
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM) is the largest Planned Parenthood affiliate in the U.S., providing medical and education services to more than 300,000 people annually at our 33 health center locations in California and Nevada.
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte works within three areas: education, advocacy and health care services. Through culturally sensitive, bilingual outreach, education and counseling programs, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte gives community members of all ages and backgrounds the information they need to make educated, responsible decisions about their health and sexuality.
PPMM is also active as a public policy advocate at the local, state and national levels, raising public awareness on issues that affect access to reproductive and health care services. We have 33 health centers in 28 counties in California and Northern Nevada. Our health centers provide a wide range of low or no cost services to men and women including primary health care, prenatal and pediatric care, and reproductive health care such as birth control and STD testing and treatment.
