Come get creative with us. Help in the Mint Artists tent by greeting guests, working on arts and crafts activity, "booth sitting" for our teen artists and more. You may help with set up (Friday) or tear down (Sunday after 5) or bring in lunch for our young artists. Maybe you will help sell a Mint print! Or cheer up a teen artist who's lost energy.
We look for friendly, outgoing people who like teens and visual arts and who may use this as a way to get started as a Mint volunteer.

Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
