Help Mint grow: Fundraiser needed
ORGANIZATION: MINT ARTISTS GUILD
Please visit the new page to apply.
Mint wants to continue its summer creative jobs program - and hire eight young people this summer in Detroit. (That's up from five in 2017 and three in 2016.) Yet to do so, we need to raise at least $12,000 by mid-May. And our part-time executive director is so busy working with the teens and planning for a couple of major events, writing grants (and working her day job) that she really needs help with fundraising, ASAP.
We need passionate people to join our fundraising team - and find individuals and organizations who will donate to Mint. (It's a tax deductible donation and you get the benefit of creating jobs - and then those young people will paint pieces that are donated to local nonprofits in or near Detroit - a double win!)
We have a few ideas and already have some beautiful thank you cards - based on original teen art - to send to the new donors. Now we need YOU to land them.
You could start your career as a fundraiser or change careers by working with us. Or just use your network of friends from college to launch creative careers and make a difference in Detroit. We are open to a wide array of people in this fundraising role!
Thanks in advance.

Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
