ORGANIZATION: The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter

Looking for experience preforming live? Want to help out a good cause? Why not do both! We are looking for a live band to play during our Hampton Roads Walk to Defeat ALS(r) Kickoff Event. The event will be held on March 22, it kicks off our fundraising efforts for our Walk teams. If you are interested please email me a couple samples of you/your band preforming so I can get a sense of the style you are used to preforming. Sample can be sent to tbrett@alsinfo.org.

Leading the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The DC/MD/VA is based in Rockville, MD with an office in Richmond, VA.

Description

The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of people living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis a.k.a. Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and their families in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The ALS Association National Office and the ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter operate under a shared mission: to support people living with ALS and to leave no stone unturned in the search for a cure. The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA is currently serving almost 700 people living with ALS and their families. These services include assistive technology devices, social worker visits, medical equipment loan closet, transportation grants, and many other services. All of the Chapter's services are provided free of charge to the families.
