Become a community health educator with Oasis Healthy Habits for Adults. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to present classes for older adults about healthy nutrition and low impact exercises. Classes take place during weekdays throughout the Indianapolis and suburbs. All class materials are provided along with training and support for class facilitators. This program is sponsored by the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation.

Indianapolis Oasis is part of a national nonprofit educational organization designed to enhance the quality of life for adults 50+. We promote healthy aging through lifelong learning, health and wellness and volunteer engagement. Our programs create opportunities that encourage personal growth and meaningful service to the community.
Description
Oasis provides classes, programs and special events throughout the year in the arts and humanities, health and wellness, technology, history, and personal enrichment.
Additionally Oasis engages over 600 trained volunteers in one-on-one tutoring in 93 elementary schools in the greater Indianapolis area including: Washington, Lawrence, Warren, Hamilton Southeastern, Pike, and Wayne Townships, Greenwood and Brownsburg Community Schools and Indianapolis Public Schools.
