Looking for person with good writing skills and ability to seek, create, and maintain good relations and contact with San Luis Oblspo County media. This will include print, radio, TV and can expand into social networking.
Requires weekly/timely media releases, updates for website, writing a feature story and entertainment promotions. Expanding outreach to other areas/media sources is encouraged.
Releases are to promote the 28th annual Earth Day Fair & Music Festival scheduled for April 21, 2018. Can start immediately and go through with a final follow up/report the week following the event.

As stated in our bylaws, the primary objective and mission of the Earth Day Alliance, Inc. is to increase awareness, responsibility and action toward a clean, healthy environment for all living things through education and outreach with Earth Day as a catalyst. To fulfill our mission the 28th SLO County Earth Day Fair, a free event, will be held Sat. April 21, 2018.
Description
The Earth Day Alliance (EDA) is a volunteer organization. The talents, skills and volunteer hours of San Luis Obispo County residents, students and visitors make this free event possible. Beginning in January of each year the EDA Board and volunteers meet regularly to coordinate another Earth Day event for San Luis Obispo County. Everyone can be involved in some way.
Earth Day 2018 will take place on April 21, one day before the 48th anniversary of the first Earth Day, April 22nd.
Funds to produce each Earth Day SLO Fair and Music Festival come from grants, sponsors, exhibitor fees and the Earth Day drawing. Items donated to the drawing and cash donations are tax deductible.
