Planting on the Richmond Greenway

Come join The Watershed Project and learn about our rain gardens and bioswales as we plant a bioswale at Carlson Meadow. Enjoy a day out in nature sheet-mulching and planting native plants in a beautiful park on the Richmond Greenway. We will be planting rushes and various water-loving plants that are also drought-tolerant as we construct our bioswale to filter and contain urban stormwater runoff.

We'll provide gloves, tools, snacks and water. No experience is necessary: be ready to get dirty! Please contact us with any questions and for a waiver if you are a minor. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Heavy rain cancels.
