ORGANIZATION: SPARC Hope

At SPARC Hope our purpose is to provide support, encouragement and guidance to single parents in the pursuit of identifying life choice options that enhance their opportunities for career advancement and independence in the Kentuckiana area.

Do you love to find hidden gems, local, national and federal that can benefit our programs and clients, SPARC Hope is a small not for profit that serves Single Parents who are working, obtaining higher education and raising their kids. This program is not a hand out, but a hand up, providing resources and services to those that are working hard to secure a brighter future for their family.

This is a great opportunity to volunteer from home and make a tremendous difference in the lives of our clients!

Here is how you can help:
In order to expand our programs, we need help researching resources, incentives, grants and other opportunities that can help our organization and the families we serve. Ideas:

Grants- Search for new places/ ways for us to apply

Churches - Donations, Free will offering, pantry drives, volunteers, event notification, etc

Incentives - Round Up dollars, other

Kroger - Promoting Community Rewards Program

Walmart- Research best ways to partner monthly with Walmart on available funding offered

Amazon Smile - How to promote people choosing SPARC Hope as recipient for funding dollars

Consignment stores- Researching potential opportunities and establishing contacts.

SPARC Hope is dedicated to developing the potential of single mothers and fathers in the Kentuckiana area with encouragement, education, and by setting a good example through a Christian viewpoint.

Description

  • We want to empower single parents to seek a better quality of life through pursuing higher education, allowing them to become self-supportive through a new career.
  • Breaking the cycle of poverty through higher education or technical education.
  • We know the road to the American Dream is full of obstacles, we help single-parent families navigate through those obstacles.
  • SPARC Hope serves single-parent families who are struggling to make ends meet and who are willing to make the extra effort to help secure the future for themselves and their children.
  • We are a liaison between resources and services for single moms in our community. SPARC Hope is not a welfare or charity, but rather a hand up.
  • Our goal is to uplift the Spiritual, Physical and Emotional needs of single parents.
