Advocacy on global health and education

RESULTS is a non-partisan advocacy group of everyday citizens. Volunteers receive training, support, and inspiration to become skilled advocates. In time, volunteers learn to effectively advise policy makers, guiding them towards decisions that improve access to health, education, and economic opportunity. Together, we recognize the incredible power we possess to use our voices to change the world.
Our Bloomington RESULTS chapter focuses on global issues. We meet on the second Saturday afternoon of each month for a conference call that connects us with similar groups all over the country and updates us on opportunities to influence Congress and the administration. We set up meetings and phone calls with congressional representatives and their aides, get things published in the media, and several of us go to Washington DC in the summer for our International Conference, part of which involves lobbying on Capitol Hill.
There are lots of ways to get involved. You could become a partner in the group, come to monthly meetings, and take regular actions. A smaller way to get involved is to join our action network, where you would get twice monthly information on actions you could take, eg emails to Congress. Or you could take an one-time action on one of our issues.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, leave me your phone number, and we can talk further.
We'll work with your schedule.
