The purpose of this formative evaluation is to inform decision-making and provide evidence-based inputs to Kids In Tech leadership and volunteers on how to strengthen and sustain STEM based out-of-school programming for middle-school students living in low-income neighborhoods in Lowell, MA.
The main objectives of the evaluation are to (i) ascertain the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the key programs; (ii) clarify the potential opportunities and existing constraints to programming; and (iii) provide conclusions and actionable recommendations that can shape future programming at Kids In Tech. The organization has a draft logic model to jumpstart this work which can be provided upon request.
Kids In Tech’s Executive Director seeks a graduate student interested in taking on this evaluation project as a directed study, internship, or practicum. The organization is looking for someone to design and conduct the evaluation from Summer 2018 to Spring 2019.
