Grace Hospice is seeking bi-lingual volunteers to visit homebound seniors in the community. Friendly visiting helps relieve the senior’s social isolation and is an enriching opportunity for the volunteer to develop a meaningful friendship. Seniors and the volunteer can take part in fun activities like playing card games, discussing current events, sharing stories, writing letters and celebrating special days in the lives of the seniors. Your time and companionship as a friendly visitor is invaluable!
Matches are based on volunteer availability and geographic location. Our office is located in Mentor and we service the areas of Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, and Cuyahoga counties
* We currently need volunteers who speak ITALIAN or RUSSIAN
* We welcome all languages!

Description
Grace Hospice cares for patients whose medical conditions are not responding to treatment or for those patients who choose to not seek aggressive medical care at the end stage of life. Hospice focuses on comfort care rather than curative care. The goal of hospice is for patients to remain as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their own home or the home of a loved one through the end of life. Care can also be provided in a long-term care facility or an assisted living facility.
