ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army San Diego Regional Office

Position Title: Food pickup and delivery volunteer

Reports To: Divisional Volunteer Center

Purpose/Goal of Position: To support the Centre City Corps Community Center in picking up food donations from various grocery stores around Downtown San Diego.

Qualifications/Skills/Certifications Needed:

  1. Must have a valid CA driver’s license.
  2. Ability to drive box truck safely.
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and guests.
  5. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Pickup and deliver food donations

Ongoing Position:

Duration: Minimum of 3-6 month commitment
