Help riders achieve their goals in the saddle!

Love horses? Love kids? This opportunity is for you!

Volunteers are trained to walk beside the horse during the therapeutic riding lesson, engaging the special needs rider in lesson activities. The sidewalker is primarily there to ensure the safety of the rider as they enjoy a wide variety of activities from horseback in the arena, on the Sensory Trail, and/or on the Nature Trail.

Once comfortable, volunteers can also be trained to lead the horse during the therapeutic riding lesson. The leader's major responsibility is leading the horse and keeping the horse engaged in the activities. Join our riding team and you will be richly rewarded by smiling faces and loving horses.

If you are interested in volunteering PLEASE ONLY SELECT ONE SIGN-UP DATE per volunteer category. This will assist us with contacting our new volunteers in a timely manner to schedule an information tour. During the tour you will meet the animals and learn more about the programs at the Ranch. We look forward to scheduling your tour and learning more about your interest to pair you with the right program(s).
