Legislative Action Day 2018 will be held on Tuesday, February 27th at the Massachusetts State House in Boston. Registration is now open, and will once again be hosted by Representative Jim O'Day. The event is free and open to the public. Please plan to join us and raise your voice to help end homelessness!
We are offering a training call on Tuesday, February 13th to help participants prepare for the day. The call will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Learn more and register for the call by viewing our webpage
Fact sheets for our top four budget priorities (Emergency Assistance, housing and services for unaccompanied youth and young adults, Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled, and Children program, and the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition program) and details about our bill priorities are on our webpage.
A key part of the day will be meetings with your state legislators and their staff to talk about why you support investments in housing, homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, income support programs, and related resources. We are happy to help you set up those meetings (just let us know on your registration form).

About A Bed for Every Child
Location:

Mission Statement
A Bed for Every Child is now in its 7th year and continues to have a simple mission that has a huge impact on a child’s life growing up in poverty: give that child a bed of their own.
Description
There are five things that a child needs to thrive: food, water, shelter, clothing, and sleep.
As a society, we have worked tirelessly to ensure children have access to the first four, but in regards to sleep, we have yet to reach the same level.
Although a bed is not the first thing we think of when discussing poverty, far too many children are growing up in a household that simply cannot afford a bed for their child(ren), therefore these children are not able to obtain the good night’s sleep they need to get the education they deserve.
To date, we have provided nearly 10,000 beds to children in need all across Massachusetts.
