Local disabled senior is in need of a fence replacement as soon as possible.
The fence area protects nearby children from reaching a pool on the premises.
The City of Mesquite's H.O.M.E. (Helping Others in Mesquite Every Day) Program assists residents with projects where financial resources aren't available by connecting residents with community volunteer groups to complete the work. Referrals to this program are made through the City's Code Enforcement division when the need exceeds resources and in circumstances when the public's best interest is involved.
Supplies for needed repairs are provided in some cases and are made possible through public donation. Monetary donations to the program can be made through the City's public donations page at https://www.cityofmesquite.com/1677/Donations.

Description
The City's Volunteer Program is built on the premise that both the volunteer and the City will mutually benefit from the partnership. Volunteers can enhance and augment the City's ability to provide quality services to the community by participating in a variety of City programs and activities. In return, volunteers receive an opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge, while becoming better prepared to participate in government and to influence decisions affecting their community.
