The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council is looking for a co-chair to support logistics for our annual Arts Festival's Juried Art Show. This role leads a team of volunteers with art collection and the hanging of the juried show. Flexible hours with the greatest time commitment during the week of the Festival: June 18-22, 2018. Attends two remaining Festival Committee meetings leading up to the event from March-May. Experience with displaying both 2-D and 3-D work. Personal involvement and knowledge of current art making practices helpful. Able to help spread the news about the shows and calls for artists through own contacts. Willing to answer questions, greet visitors, talk about exhibits, etc. during art intake and at the festival when monitoring the art rooms. Although not a requirement, the ideal volunteer will come back for a second year (or more) of volunteering in the same role as this helps with consistency.
